The house shifts around you as unseen forces stalk your every move. Success means balancing exploration with survival, keep your sanity and health in check while managing inventory and environmental clues. The game leans into its dual protagonists’ personal stakes: one seeks closure after loss, the other craves answers about the supernatural. Players report the tension ramps up sharply in co-op, where split-second decisions matter. While the simulation elements feel a bit clunky at times, the eerie atmosphere and asymmetric threats earned it a 78% on Metacritic. Co-op play adds pressure, but solo runs let you focus on figuring out the house’s secrets without coordination hassles.

Storyline

Emily is 20 years old and lives with her mom outside the city. One day, she found an old book in the attic that belonged to her grandma. As she turned the dusty pages, she discovered that the book was about spiritual phenomenal and other unexplained phenomena. The book described how to interact with, clean, and liberate unnatural beings. Her journey as a ghost hunter started right there. Sarah is 20 years old, Emily's best friend, and she has always been fascinated by the unknown. After Emily found the old book in the attic, they both started to study it. It wasn't long after they decided to start a journey as ghost hunters. Sarah lost her father when she was twelve and hoped one day to make contact with him again.
