The Corn Maze is a single-player indie game where you navigate a large field of tall stalks. You carry a flashlight with limited charge, so you must pace its use to see your path ahead. Hidden in the maze are scattered compasses that help track direction, but the real challenge is avoiding unseen threats that trigger when you're too close. Environmental clues and careful movement are key to escaping before your light runs out. What stands out is the deliberate pacing and resource management. Every step requires weighing risk versus progress, and the lack of combat keeps tension high. The game’s minimalist design contrasts with its unnerving atmosphere, creating a cerebral experience. Releasing on PC in December 2024, it’s a brief but taut puzzle-strategy title. Early access builds on a 2023 demo that sold over 10,000 copies.
