The Uncanny X-Men is a fast action shooter on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Pick two X-Men and team with a friend or AI to tackle five levels. Each ends with blasting a hidden command center. Move, jump, and attack in all directions. Some mutants like Cyclops and Storm throw long-range attacks while others like Wolverine and Colossus fight up close. Take too many hits and your character is out. Both players down? Grab two new mutants and try again. Power-ups include time stops and health boosts. A Magneto-inspired power-down freezes you in place. Co-op and multiplayer modes keep the tension high. Six distinct mutants and optional two-player action make this 1989 title feel punchy and replayable.

Storyline

Professor Xavier and his Uncanny X-Men are the last line of defence against Magneto and his henchmen's rampage. The team, comprising Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Iceman, and Nightcrawler, is prepared to confront Magneto.
