About Triumvora

Triumvora is a 2025 indie action RPG from Bliss by Bits that mixes hack-and-slash combat with survival and roguelite mechanics. Set in an endless city overtaken by plant-like creatures, you play as an outcast tasked with reshaping the hierarchy under a mysterious deity’s orders. The game leans into brutal melee action, resource management, and procedurally generated levels. It’s a chaotic, surreal experience where every playthrough forces you to adapt to new threats and environmental challenges. If you’ve played games like Dead Cells or The Outer Worlds but want something weirder, this is your jam.

Gameplay

You fight with a mix of quick melee combos and environmental tools while managing stamina, hunger, and a unique "hierarchy" stat that determines your influence over other creatures. Each level is a randomly generated grid of zones filled with hostile flora-fauna. You’ll slash through enemies, loot decayed buildings for resources, and chain abilities to upgrade your creature’s traits. Combat is fast and punishing, miss a parry and you’re back at the start. The roguelite loop means you lose progress on death but retain permanent upgrades. Sessions rarely last past an hour, but the stakes are high: one misstep and you’re resetting with nothing.

What Players Think

PlayPile users rate it 4.2/5, with 68% completing the base game. Critics praise the aggressive combat and visual design but note the 15-hour average playtime feels rushed for a $30 price tag. Community moods are split: 52% call it “addictive,” while 34% say it’s “overly punishing.” Review snippets highlight “the satisfying crunch of each hit” and “a world that feels alive but broken.” Achievement completion is at 71%, with the final boss “Dominus” stumping 43% of players.

PlayPile's Take

Triumvora thrives on its frenetic energy but falters in pacing and depth. It’s best for fans of short, punchy RPGs who don’t mind restarts. At $29.99, the price matches its scope, but the lack of multiplayer and light story may deter some. If you like tough, creative combat and don’t mind respawning constantly, give it a shot. Otherwise, wait for a sale.

Storyline

Inside this infinite city, a new ecosystem has formed. Mysterious creatures have claimed the top of the food chain, but their social hierarchies are turning into chaos. You embody a creature banished from their old pack, acting on the orders of the Deity that saved you. You have one goal: rule over the entire city in the Deity's name.
