This title serves as a sequel to the classic 1080° Snowboarding but never actually launched on the N64 despite early promises. Development shifted targets to the GameCube before Nintendo Software Technology stepped in to handle the project instead. The final result became 1080° Avalanche, which arrived in 2003 with updated physics and tracks for the newer console. Players tackle single player races or challenge friends in multiplayer modes using a roster of riders. Left Field Productions originally started work on this follow up before leaving Nintendo to pursue multi platform titles.
