2236 A.D. Secretary Stories is a lighthearted visual novel following Masuko, an AI secretary, and her human owner Yotsuba. The story unfolds with deadpan humor and offbeat dialogue as the pair navigate mundane yet oddly profound moments in a futuristic setting. Players read through branching scenarios and simple choices that highlight the quirks of their relationship, blending sci-fi tropes with everyday absurdity. The tone leans into dry wit and gentle character quirks over dramatic stakes, making it a relaxed pick for fans of slice-of-life narratives. Developed by Chloro and released in late 2013, the game runs on PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile platforms. Its charm lies in the back-and-forth dynamic between Masuko's robotic precision and Yotsuba's clueless enthusiasm, all framed by minimalist art and snappy pacing. While short and straightforward, it carved a niche with its cult following, particularly among audiences who enjoy low-key, character-driven stories.
This is a story about Masuko, the Personal A.I. Secretary System (PASS) for Smart Tools and her owner, Yotsuba. The day is January 1, 2236 A.D. and the start of the year hasn't gone as well as it could have. This is a nonsensical story between man and AI that seems heartwarming but may not actually be heartwarming. There are laughs but there aren't really any tears but in any case, it is a visual novel about how Masuko is cute.
