3D Bomb Alley drops you into a pixelated sky where enemy planes divebomb your fleet. Guide your ship through tight formations, blasting aircraft before they can torpedo your squadrons. The BBC Micro's limited hardware gives everything a blocky, low-res look but the fast-paced action keeps things frantic. You'll juggle dodging attacks while locking onto targets in a chaotic dance of buttons and reflexes. For its time this 1984 release was ahead of the curve with its pseudo-3D perspective. Software Invasion managed to squeeze dynamic angles into the BBC Micro's 8-bit frame creating a tense dogfighting experience. While modern shooters have refined the formula this early experiment shows how much arcade-style combat has evolved. A forgotten gem for retro gaming completists.
