3D Crosswords is a puzzle game that reimagines traditional crosswords in three dimensions. Instead of filling a flat grid, you arrange letters on a floating cube where each face connects to the next. Clues appear one at a time, and you rotate the structure to fit answers into intersecting rows. The challenge comes from visualizing how words lock together across multiple planes, making even simple puzzles feel spatially complex. Made for the PVB Coding Competition, this title uses the Virtual Boy’s 3D display to create a tangible sense of depth. While the 20-level campaign is short, the clever use of perspective and the novelty of solving crosswords in a pseudo-3D space have earned it a cult following among retro puzzle fans.
