3D Slime is a frantic arcade game where you steer Green Slime through maze-like levels, snatching purple pyramids while dodging relentless black bowling balls. The action unfolds in pseudo-3D environments with shifting heights and jagged layouts. You can’t just run straight, many paths are blocked or collapse, forcing you to circle back or trap the balls in dead ends to free up routes. Timing and spatial awareness matter as much as speed. What makes it stick is the tricky isometric angle, which turns simple movement into a head-scratcher. Levels often force you to backtrack or create detours, adding layers of strategy to the chaos. Despite its 80s roots, the game’s brisk pacing and puzzle-like level design still feel punchy. The Sinclair QL version might be niche, but the core gameplay holds up as a clever twist on classic maze-runners.
