About

Drop blocks. Clear lines. Survive the stack. 4-Tris is a puzzle game where players rotate four-block shapes to fit them into a descending grid. Each piece falls toward the bottom of the screen and must be placed to fill horizontal rows. When a row completes, it vanishes and scores points. Missed placements let blocks pile up, narrowing the playing field and raising the tension. Blocks descend faster as levels rise, demanding quicker thinking and sharper reflexes. The screen fills until no moves remain, game over. This 1999 Intellivision title strips tetris-like gameplay to its simplest form. No fluff, no frills, just a lean, mean puzzle engine. The single-player format focuses on raw skill, with high scores as the only reward. Though its release date and platform make it a rarity, the mechanics hold up. Players seeking a no-nonsense challenge with instant feedback will find it here. The game’s age shows in its presentation but not its design.
