About

A Blurred Line is a single-player PC RPG built with RPG Maker 2000. You play as Talan, a regular guy dragged into chaos after being framed for the murder of a powerful figure. The game leans into classic turn-based combat and branching dialogue choices, letting you shape how Talan navigates a world of suspicion and danger. Exploration and puzzle-solving are central, with a focus on uncovering clues to clear your name. The setting blends bureaucratic intrigue with small-town quirks, creating a story that hinges on deception and moral gray areas. The game has a cult following on forums and indie retro circles, with players noting its tight writing and underdog charm. While dated by modern standards, its pacing and character dynamics hold up, earning it a 4.5/5 rating on RPGFan in 2008. Fans appreciate the resourcefulness of its design, especially how it stretches RPG Maker’s tools to craft a memorable narrative. It’s a brisk but dense experience that rewards attention to detail, particularly in later chapters where twists challenge your assumptions.

Storyline

Talan, an ordinary citizen, is falsely accused of killing the leader of the supreme organization in the world, the Agency, and now has to run for his life.
