About

A Pretty Broken Adventure is a single-player point-and-click title created by developer Christoph Schultz. The story starts on New Year's Eve 1997 when three friends plug in a mysterious cartridge that goes wrong. A snapped pin opens a portal and drops Lani, Collin, and Tiho into a strange fantasy world that mixes the game they know with weird subconscious stuff. You control the group as they get separated and must solve puzzles to navigate twisted locations and find each other again. The hand-drawn art style sets the mood while you click through the environment to move forward. The game leans heavily on nostalgia and friendship rather than complex mechanics. Players will spend time figuring out how a broken object leads to such a strange place. The community data shows strong ratings for its emotional storytelling and unique character interactions. Many users mention the quirky cast and the way the world shifts between reality and fantasy. It feels like a personal project that sticks with you long after you finish it. The puzzles vary in difficulty but always tie back to the core mystery of why the cartridge caused this mess.

Storyline

New Year’s Eve, 1997 – Lani, Collin, and Tiho are doing what they do every year: popping that mysterious, unlabeled game cartridge into the console and ringing in the new year with their own weird little tradition. But this time, something goes wrong – a pin on their beloved cartridge snaps off, and suddenly a strange portal opens up… The three friends find themselves in a bizarre fantasy world filled with quirky characters and twisted locations. Some of it feels just like the game they’ve always played on New Year’s Eve. Some of it feels like it came from a distant subconscious. And some of it feels… a little too familiar. Separated from one another, they stumble through strange places, click through tricky puzzles, experience wild adventures – and try to find their way back to each other and escape this weird fantasy world. How did they even end up here? And what exactly do friendship, nostalgia — and the broken game cartridge — have to do with it?
