About Love, Hate and the other ones casts you as two contrasting characters navigating a series of logic-driven puzzles. Each level requires switching between Love and Hate to manipulate the environment, as their interactions with supporting characters trigger different outcomes. The goal is to guide both back to their starting point across six distinct settings, from frozen tundras to industrial ruins. Progress hinges on understanding how each supporting character reacts to either protagonist, creating layered problem solving. The game’s clever twist on dual-character mechanics stands out, with puzzles that demand strategic swapping to unlock paths. Though released in 2012, its minimalist art style and consistent challenge curve keep it fresh for fans of cerebral indie games. Community reviews highlight the satisfying “aha” moments, though some note the lack of modern polish. Available on PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile, it’s a compact experience that clocks in at roughly three to four hours for all 60 levels. The premise feels simple but deepens quickly, balancing accessibility with complexity.
It is all about Love and Hate. To be honest, it is all “About Love, Hate and the other ones”. The other ones are the creatures Love and Hate encounter on their journey back to the lovely hill they were taken away from by a mysterious red button that appeared out of nowhere. Which is exactly where it took Love and Hate when foolish Love pushed the shiny red thing. On their journey you guide Love and Hate through dark caves, icy lands with heavy snow, steamy factories and old castles. While you proceed you get to meet more and more other ones that will help Love and Hate to reach their goal, the red button. They react differently on Love and Hate, so the challenge of rearranging all of them never gets old.
