Abunai Tengu Densetsu is a classic adventure game where players navigate a mystery through menu-driven commands. You choose actions from long lists of verbs and pair them with objects or characters to explore a high school camp setting. The game lets you roam freely between locations but progression often hinges on repeating actions until the right combination unlocks the next step. Two students must investigate a string of attacks by gathering clues and interrogating peers through a system of scripted dialogues and environmental puzzles. The game’s reliance on trial and error gives it a deliberately slow rhythm that may frustrate modern players. Despite this, its branching investigations and multiple suspect profiles offer a surprisingly deep mystery for a late 80s title. Originally released in 1989, it now exists as a niche relic among early Japanese adventure games, playable on long-defunct hardware like the PC-9800 and MSX. Fans of retro point-and-click experiments might find its awkward but determined design approach intriguing.
Kazumi Kinoshita and Sanae Kanazawa are two high school girls who go on a school trip together with their classmates. Shortly after their arrival at the camp dormitory, various girls become targeted by unknown assailants. In order to solve the mystery the two heroines must talk to their classmates, collect clues, and eventually find the culprits.
