Guide Abu through a nut-stuffed platformer where every jump and scamper feels like a gamble. You control a squirrel with zero combat skills forced to rely on a sentient box for survival. The box smashes enemies while you dodge traps and leap across precarious paths. Collecting nuts is the goal but the real task is staying alive as the levels pack in hazards and tiny monster squads. Abu's Adventures leans into its absurd charm with a focus on tense platforming. The box companion adds a clever twist to combat since Abu can’t fight directly. Released in 2012 it still feels like a quirky little experiment that prioritizes tricky level design over polish. Short bursts of playwork best here where the challenge comes from learning each stage’s layout. YFC Game Studio carved out a niche with this one, not for the faint of heart but rewarding for those who enjoy thinking through obstacles.
