About

Ace Mathician tasks players with solving math problems to reshape environments and help a koala reach fruit. Each puzzle requires adjusting terrain by solving equations that affect platforms, bridges, and obstacles. The gameplay is straightforward but relies heavily on arithmetic practice, making it a functional if unexciting exercise in math-based problem solving. User feedback highlights its potential as an educational tool for young kids, though a 5/10 score on PlayPile notes its dated 2012 release and limited appeal beyond that niche. The DSi platform and simple mechanics cater to younger audiences, but older players or those seeking deeper engagement may find it repetitive. Over 140 hours of playtime suggest some staying power, though not universally.

So we tried out Ace Mathician with my 7-year-old last weekend, thinking it'd be a fun way to sneak in some math practice. The idea is you help a koala get fruit by like, solving math problems to change the terrain or something. It's kinda cute but honestly? Feels a little forced....
