Action Pachio is a side-scrolling platformer where you guide a white Pachio through levels filled with jumps, enemies, and hazards. Between stages short cutscenes advance a simple story. Coins scattered throughout can be gathered for extra lives with 100 required for each one. A three-color health bar shows damage taken time pressure adds urgency and a score counter climbs toward 99 million points. The controls feel tight for precise platforming but the level design leans into classic 90s difficulty spikes. Released in 1993 this Super Famicom exclusive has aged into a cult curiosity. The brief story snippets and colorful visuals hold up better than most games from the era but the challenge curve can be brutal. Fans of old-school platformers might appreciate the straightforward mechanics and retro charm. Developer C-Lab and publisher Coconuts Japan didn’t release many titles so this one stands out in niche collections.
