Advanced Lord Monarch is a strategy game where you build settlements, manage resources, and wage battles in real time. You collect materials, train units, and expand your territory while fending off enemies. The advanced mode adds tougher AI opponents and a revised ranking system that changes how victories are tracked. Gameplay leans on quick decisions and efficient base management with a focus on territorial control. The game included CD audio support at launch and tools for creating custom maps a rarity for its time. Later versions stripped these tools but fan-made editors kept the modding scene active. Released in late 1991 for Japan’s PC-9800 and FM Towns platforms it remains a niche title with a small but dedicated retro strategy audience.
