About

Aka is a 2003 visual novel set in a sun-scorched desert ruled by ancient myths. You follow Aramis, a girl blessed, or cursed, with the power to erase memories, and Kadan, her protective guardian. Their routine of fulfilling cryptic orders from the entity Ruta takes a turn when Aramis meets another like her, sparking doubts about her role. The story unfolds across four linked chapters, blending personal drama with supernatural mystery as the pair navigates shifting loyalties and hidden truths about their world. The game’s quiet tension and moral ambiguity set it apart. While its adult content is notable, the real draw lies in the slow-burn narrative and complex character dynamics. With a cult following in visual novel circles, Aka offers a moody, introspective experience that leans into philosophical questions about identity and free will. Its age shows in presentation, but the core story remains compelling for fans of atmospheric, dialogue-driven adventures.

It wasn't until Aramis encountered another "Restorer" like herself that she began to question this practice, and her belief in her own altruistic purpose began to waver. Seeing this, Kaden, who was watching over her, couldn't help but worry for her…
