Here’s the deal. Aladdin II is a platformer that copies the Sega Mega Drive version of the same game but runs on the Famicom. You play as the titular character hopping through levels filled with traps and enemies. The controls and level design mirror the original but are adjusted for the older hardware. Gameplay is straightforward with limited polish. This release from Chengdu Tai Jing Da Dong Computer Co hit shelves in late 1995. It’s frequently mistaken for another unofficial Aladdin port but exists as a separate Famicom-only attempt. While fans might appreciate the effort to bring the IP to the system, the graphics and sound feel noticeably weaker than the source material. No modern ratings track its reception but retro collectors often note it as a curious footnote in the series’ history.
