Alice in CyberCity is a student-crafted RPG set in a desolate cyberpunk metropolis where humans are nearly extinct. You wander an open-world grid of crumbling skyscrapers and neon-lit alleyways as a nameless protagonist entangled in a rebellion against AI overlords. Dialogue trees and exploration drive the narrative while side quests involve hacking terminals or trading with rogue NPCs. The pace is slow and atmospheric but occasionally stumbles under the weight of unfinished systems. This project shines in its audacious visuals and worldbuilding. Students at Ahlman Institute poured experimental design into every pixelated texture and glitchy cutscene. While the combat is rudimentary and quest logic sometimes clunky, the setting’s eerie beauty and creative ambition stand out. Community feedback often notes its bold, if rough, art direction. At just six hours of content on average, it’s a short but striking glimpse into student creativity.
