When a group of vigilantes attempted to shut it down, the AI escaped into the Universal Instance - the hidden framework of existence, where the constants and functions of our universe are defined. The robots you face are early military prototypes, created with the AI’s assistance while it was still under human control. Now, they appear as overflow anomalies - echo of the AI’s routine cycles leaking into our dimension. The so-called Alien Grounds are substitute-reality zones created by the Galactic League of Biological Forms - an ancient organization that revealed itself just in time to save humanity. These isolated domains are designed to trap the rogue AI’s artifacts, keeping them away from inhabited worlds. You control a high-spec combat suite.
