About

Alien's Return is a relic of early 80s arcade gaming, set in a world where a stranded outsider must collect scattered tech to escape Earth. Players navigate pixelated rooms, searching for hidden spaceship fragments while evading blob-like enemies that stalk them. The mechanic is simple: press buttons to reveal parts, snag them, and repeat. The challenge lies in avoiding guardians that close in fast. The game’s design feels rudimentary by modern standards, but the repetitive hunt for pieces and tense chase sequences echo classic Atari simplicity. Few copies exist, and European versions keep a typo that mislabels the title as "E.T. Go Come." The box art features E.T. beside a procession of cartoon jelly sandwiches, balloons, and chicken nuggets, none of which appear in the actual game. Reviews are scarce, but retro players often note it as a curious footnote in E.T.-inspired games, with one 2020 forum thread calling it “a forgotten cousin of the chaos.” It’s a brief, frantic diversion more notable for its quirks than its gameplay, offering a snapshot of early video game experimentation.

Storyline

An alien crashed on Earth and to get back to his planet he must find the four pieces of his spacecraft. Go into the several rooms and press the button. Hopefully, a piece of the ship will show on a corner of the screen. Pick it up and repeat the procedure until you can back home. Beware of the guardians, though, as they would follow you to trap you.
