Alter Ego is a 2D point-and-click puzzle game where you navigate a fractured mind to figure out a dark love story. You switch between two perspectives to piece together memories using environmental clues and inventory items to solve cerebral puzzles. The story follows Reese, who must confront a giant tiger named The Judge and untangle the truth behind their girlfriend Winona’s mysterious death. The game leans into psychological themes with shifting, surreal environments that reflect Reese’s mental state. Players will question reality as they uncover secrets hidden in distorted recollections. While the narrative can feel a bit meandering at times, the atmospheric design and layered character dynamics keep the mystery engaging.

Storyline

Winona is the perfect girlfriend. She's so giving and kind, and the light of Reese's life - until one day, she winds up dead in Reese's kitchen. Reese is accused by a gargantuan tiger named The Judge of murdering Winona, and stumbles through a mindscape of her own making, exploring old memories and feelings about Winona in order to find the true culprit behind Winona's death.
