American Arcadia drops you into a 1970s-style city where everyone’s living under the lens of a giant reality show. You control two characters, one navigating a 2.5D side-scrolling world of platform jumps, chases, and stealth, while the other explores a 3D space filled with hacking minigames and environmental puzzles. Both stories unfold through a documentary format, with interviews and police transcripts revealing the dystopian truth behind the shiny facade. The split perspective between characters adds layers to the mystery, forcing you to piece together events from different angles. The retro aesthetic and tense atmosphere stand out, with sharp visuals that mix neon-drenched environments and grainy archive footage. Out on November 15th for PS4, PC, Xbox, and Switch, it’s a puzzle-platformer that leans into its sci-fi paranoia with style.

Storyline

The gripping story will be presented as a documentary with interviews and police interrogations of the characters as you progress through the game. American Arcadia gives you control over two characters in completely different environments and unique play-styles: A 2.5D action side-scroller including challenging platform action, breath-taking chases, stealth and puzzles. As well as a full 3D first-person game, with hacking, exploration, stealth elements, and puzzles to solve.
