About

Analogic is a retro puzzle game that turns arithmetic into strategy. Two players take turns moving across a grid of numbered squares, each trying to land on the opponent’s target planet. The catch is movement depends on sums: the EVEN player can only land on squares that combine with the ODD player’s last number to make an even total, and vice versa. Simple math mechanics hide deeper patterns, requiring players to plan ahead and block opponents using number properties. This 1972 title stands out as one of the earliest examples of math-based competitive play in video games. Its abstract logic and turn-based tension feel surprisingly modern for its era, especially on the Odyssey’s primitive hardware. While the visuals are basic, the mental challenge has earned it a cult reputation among retro gaming enthusiasts. Some forums rank it as the most cerebral of the Odyssey’s original 12 games, proving strategy and numbers can make a lasting impression even without flashy design.

Storyline

"A space race through the numeric maze of a computer charted galaxy! A fascinating electronic addition game for all ages" A strange small logic game where each player must reach other player's planet first. The player from the planet ODD tries to reach the planet EVEN before the player from the planet EVEN reaches the planet ODD. The movement principle is as follows: the EVEN player may move only to a square whose number combines with ODD's last move to total to an even number. ODD may move to a square whose number totals to an ODD figure when combined with EVEN's last move...
