Andalusian Roulette is a laid-back visual novel puzzle game where you follow a public worker adjusting to life in a sleepy southern Spanish village. The core mechanic revolves around siestas, randomized naps that leave you waking up at unpredictable times. Between these breaks, you interact with eccentric locals like Antonio and Manué, using dialogue choices and minor puzzle-solving to build relationships. The tone is slow and conversational, with story progression tied to your ability to balance rest and socializing. The game stands out for its quirky character dynamics and surreal undercurrents. A cryptic woman pops up during naps, offering cryptic life advice that subtly shifts the narrative. While the puzzles are simple, the charm lies in the deadpan humor and oddball village vibes. Released on PC and Linux in early 2024, it’s a brief, niche experience best suited for fans of offbeat narratives and low-stakes storytelling.
Due to working conditions, a public sector employee from the north of Spain has been transferred to a place down south where time stands still, a small rural village in Andalusia. In order to adapt from a busy urban life to a more peaceful lifestyle, the locals recommend practicing the “Andalusian Roulette”: Sleeping siesta without setting the alarm, not knowing when you’re gonna wake up. During these naps a mysterious woman appears, showing a new way of understanding life. Using their charms, the protagonist will socialize with Antonio and Manué, just two random guys that were passing by.
