Angelian Trigger is a fast-paced 3D shooter where players control Mia and Sheryl as they sprint through alien landscapes while blasting waves of enemies. The gameplay leans into side-scrolling action with occasional 360-degree rotations, letting you dodge, strafe, and fire in all directions. Set on the mysterious planet Sarius, the story follows two detectives from a struggling agency who take a risky case involving political corruption and an anonymous client. Combat and exploration blend seamlessly, with environments shifting from dense jungles to industrial zones as the conspiracy deepens. What makes it pop is the tight control scheme and the contrast between its gritty storyline and over-the-top arcade violence. The game’s mix of investigative dialogue scenes and chaotic firefights creates a rhythm that keeps momentum high. While still early, community playtests highlight the duo’s chemistry and the planet-hopping setting as standout elements. The Switch port also makes it a surprisingly smooth handheld shooter experience.

Storyline

Wati is a large city on the planet Galadsik where the Eames Detective Agency is located. While the agency is facing financial difficulties due to an influx of small cases, like investigating infidelity and finding missing pets, a request comes in from an anonymous client to investigate the green planet Sarius. Despite the unsettling indicators, such as Sarius being under the control of the Planetary Industry Minister Wizria and the client being anonymous, Mia and Sheryl take off to Sarius. This was the trigger that led them into a major conspiracy.
