About

Anima is a brief but atmospheric adventure game set in a lifeless future Earth. You control 160, a robot tasked with reviving humans from cryogenic sleep after a global catastrophe. The surface is dead, but underground, 160 navigates crumbling facilities, troubleshoots glitchy AI, and repairs broken systems to fulfill its mission. The gameplay leans on environmental puzzles and exploration, with minimal combat but plenty of tension as you uncover why the world fell silent. Sparse dialogue and stark visuals emphasize the isolation theme. What lingers is the game’s quiet dread and its compact, self-contained story. At 20, 30 minutes, it doesn’t overstay its welcome, yet the mystery of the abandoned world and 160’s singular purpose feel complete. The lack of living characters amplifies the eerie silence, making every creak or flicker of light feel significant. Player communities highlight its moody art style and the emotional weight of its twist, which reframes the entire premise in a way that feels both surprising and earned.

Storyline

Its far far into the future, and the Earth is bleak. Nothing lives upon its surface. But deep below, something stirs. Something sleeps. Something lies dormant. Face down malfunctioning Artificially Intelligence Robots, faulty equipment, and discover the secret behind this strange, strange world.
