Another World is a side-scrolling adventure with platforming elements that challenges you to navigate surreal environments through quick reflexes and puzzle solving. Developed by Delphine Software, it follows a character escaping a hostile alien planet, blending action sequences with timed jumps and environmental interactions. The Atari Jaguar version adds two visual options: a retro 16-color mode and a more detailed 256-color mode from the game's 15th anniversary update. Players can tackle levels normally or push their skills in speed-run mode. The game stands out as a relic of delayed development. Originally planned for 1994 on Jaguar but scrapped, it resurfaced in 2013 with modernized features. Its tight controls and demanding level design earned it a cult following, with some runs clocking under 10 minutes. Though limited to single-player, the mix of tension and creativity in each level makes it a standout title for the platform.
