About

Anti-Aircraft pits two players in a race to down more airborne targets than their opponent. Each controls an anti-aircraft cannon positioned at opposite screen edges, firing at planes that zip in unpredictable patterns. Players use three buttons to move between three fixed positions vertically and blast incoming threats. The faster you react to changing flight paths, the more points you rack up before the clock runs out. Released in 1975, this Atari classic ran exclusively on arcade cabinets and became a staple of early competitive gaming. It’s a stripped-down test of reflexes with no frills, just simple controls and head-to-head tension. The game’s two-player core and minimal overhead made it a hit in arcades, where quick hands and sharper focus separated winners from the rest. Its no-nonsense design remains a time capsule of 70s arcade simplicity.
