Aqua Aqua is a puzzle game where you arrange oddly shaped blocks to build barriers that trap water on a grid. The main story mode tasks you with progressing through four distinct eras by completing levels under time pressure while fending off monster attacks. Each level requires careful planning to maximize points and power up a defensive shield. Beyond the story, you can challenge a friend in a competitive versus mode or tackle solo puzzle challenges that test your block-stacking skills. The gameplay feels familiar to its predecessor but adds new mechanics like timed objectives and shield management. The game arrived with a visual upgrade over its 2000 predecessor Wetrix, featuring smoother animations and more detailed environments. Though it lacks some of the original’s depth, its mix of strategy and quick thinking earned it a cult following. As a PlayStation 2 launch title in Europe, it’s remembered for its clever use of block physics and the satisfaction of sealing off tricky water flows. Storyline

You must use the many different shaped blocks and build dams around the playing field to trap the water, so it won't flow off. In this version there is a story mode, where you must complete each level under a certain time limit to advance to the next.
