About

Aquablast is a high-speed boat racing game where you zip through waterways avoiding obstacles and enemy attacks. Piloting a modified speedboat, you follow a winding path toward enemy bases collecting fuel and dodging helicopters planes and other hazards. The game mixes quick reflexes with route planning as you balance speed against resource management. Each level feels like a chaotic chase with shifting targets and sudden threats forcing you to adapt constantly. The game originally launched under its plain Aquablast name before being retitled with Bond-era 007 flair for a re-release. This earlier version lacks the spy-movie branding but retains all the frantic action that made it stand out in 1988. Its straightforward yet challenging design earned quiet praise from retro gaming circles with many noting how its simple mechanics still hold up on modern playthroughs. A forgotten gem from the late 80s that’s easy to overlook but hard to put down once started.

Storyline

The title is loosely based on the events of the film. High-speed boat chases, helicopters, airplanes. All anyone could wish for in a computer game! You are the only person to save the planet from being poisoned. Follow the complex route of waterways to reach the enemy bases. Collect fuel and supplies as you need them but beware of the enemy's attempts to thwart your mission. Live and Let Die is a thrilling chase across water, requiring both skill and ingenuity to carry you through.
