Aquarium flips the script on classic puzzle mechanics by swapping blocks for fish. Players fill a grid with colored fish shapes aiming to complete rows of three identical colors. When a row matches it vanishes opening space for new pieces. The single player mode challenges you to clear targets before the grid fills while the multiplayer mode pits two players against each other in a race to the bottom. Each move affects both sides making timing and prediction key. This 1995 arcade title from Excellent System carved a niche in Japanese arcades but never made waves outside its home region. Its simple rules hide tricky depth with matches rewarding quick thinking over brute force. Though largely forgotten today retro puzzle fans appreciate its tight controls and brisk pace. With rounds averaging under five minutes it remains a brisk distraction for those craving a different kind of tile-based challenge.
