Arcangel: The Legacy of Peace is a turn-based strategy game where you command a squad of elite soldiers across 40+ maps. Each mission lets you manage movement, cover, healing, and equipment for up to eight factions. The system tracks line of sight, terrain lighting, and enemy awareness as you position units for combat. Single-player campaigns focus on tactical dominance against AI opponents while hot-seat multiplayer supports up to eight players taking turns on the same machine. The game emphasizes granular troop control with actions like crouching, resting, or adjusting visibility. Over 100 weapons and gear add variety to encounters. Set in a sci-fi future where immortal leaders govern a human-alien alliance, the story runs secondary to its strategic depth. Though dated by today’s standards, its layered mechanics and competitive multiplayer options stood out for its era. Players seeking deep turn-based tactics with a focus on positioning and resource management might find it rewarding.
