Archa is a 2D platformer where you slash enemies with a scythe, cast cards, and collect points to progress. Each level requires hitting a score target to unlock the exit, balancing combat and exploration. The bullet-hell challenges test your reflexes as you dodge attacks while chaining hits. A card system lets you customize playstyles, and scattered shards offer bonus points. The game’s charm comes from its offbeat story about a former thief escaping a portal after a heist gone wrong. With levels designed for fluid movement, it leans into tight controls and fast pacing. Available on PC, Linux, Android, and browsers, it’s a compact but frenetic experience. Early builds on Itch.io suggest the difficulty curve is steep but fair, rewarding precise platforming over brute force.
The Obsidian Search was an underground gang of criminals looking to find the Obsidian Ruby, a priceless gem capable of good and evil. This group wanted it to control the world, but one of the members wanted it to pay their student loans for college. They left the group due to a low pay and a disagreement towards who would keep the Obsidian Ruby once it was found. That former member would later be known as Archa. Two years later, Archa is sitting in her apartment while her roommate is shopping for groceries. All of a sudden, a portal to another dimension appears, sucking Archa in. Now, she has to try and escape. One of the other members, Anubis, is also trapped there, so he and Archa have to become allies to escape.
