Arctic is a puzzle game where players navigate colored balls through a network of interconnected rails. Each level features split paths controlled by yellow and blue switches. The challenge is to redirect balls so they return to their matching color slots by toggling these switches as a group. Bumpers and gates add variables, altering the balls' speed and direction. The catch is you can only change one color of switch at a time, forcing careful planning to avoid snarled paths. What really grabs attention is the tight logic puzzle design. With over two dozen stages, each introduces new layouts and obstacles requiring precise sequencing. The minimalist controls contrast with the complexity of solutions, creating a satisfying mental workout. Despite its 1989 release, the core mechanics hold up well against modern puzzle games. Players who enjoy methodical problem solving will find plenty of head-scratching here.
