Armada lets you run a floating military base as a top-down strategy game. You manage resources repair ships and send planes on missions while fending off enemy attacks. The Nintendo DSi touch screen handles commands like launching aircraft or directing fire but the pace often feels sluggish. Missions mix survival and base defense with occasional dogfights that lack depth. The game’s biggest draw is its scale, overseeing a full carrier crew and inventory gives responsibility even if systems are basic. Community feedback from 2010 shows mixed results with some praising the tactical layers and others frustrated by repetitive combat. The DSi version adds minor port-specific features but doesn’t fix core pacing issues. Still it offers a decent distraction for fans of military management games.
