Armour-Geddon drops you in a nuclear wasteland where a rogue force plans to vaporize Earth using a satellite-mounted death beam. Command up to six armored vehicles at once to sabotage enemy power grids and cripple the beam’s generator before time runs out. Scavenge foes’ tech to upgrade your fleet with new weapons and defenses. The DOS Amiga and Atari ST/STE game blends real-time combat with base-building and tactical planning. Single-player missions focus on survival and resource management as you battle through waves of enemy units. Beyond solo runs the game offers a two-player serial link mode for direct head-to-head battles. Released late in 1991 it’s remembered for its ambitious mix of genres and early multiplayer options. While the graphics and interface feel dated by modern standards its tight vehicle customization and strategic depth still stand out among ’90s strategy titles. A relic of the early days when DOS boxes were war rooms.
