You’ve got three minutes to scrub soak and polish a giant grumpy yokai foot before it stomps your house into splinters. Ashi Wash turns a silly Japanese folktale into a frantic cleaning simulator. Tools are hidden throughout the mansion, buckets brushes and random junk you’ll wish you’d grabbed earlier. The clock ticks while the foot growls louder the dirtier it stays. Miss your window and watch it turn into a wrecking ball. The game’s charm lies in its sheer silliness. Players call it absurdly satisfying with a runtime short enough to fit between chores. A VR mode lets you lean into the chaos with full immersion (if your headset still works after that foot’s tantrum). Two Glass Hams packs every frame with goofy details like the foot’s increasingly annoyed expressions. It’s a 2018 release that still sticks out like a sore thumb, for all the right reasons. It’s an odd little diversion that sticks around.
