Assassin's Creed III: Washington Edition adds three content packs to the main game. Hidden Secrets offers extra missions, costumes, and multiplayer characters. Battle Hardened introduces new maps and characters for multiplayer. Tyranny of George Washington is a three-part single-player story imagining Washington as a tyrannical ruler. The final chapter unlocks months after release. Gameplay sticks to the series' parkour and stealth mechanics with colonial America as the backdrop. The alternate history narrative in Tyranny is the main draw. It reimagines the Revolution with Washington as a power-hungry dictator, adding a fresh twist to the setting. The delayed release of the final part creates a staggered experience. Out November 30 2012 on PlayStation 3. Some players found the added content feels tacked on but the reworked storylines offer extra replay value.
