About

Astérix & Obélix XXL 2: Mission: Las Vegum sends the titular duo on a chaotic rescue mission through a Roman-themed amusement park. Playing as either character, you navigate side-scrolling levels filled with platforming challenges, environmental puzzles, and slapstick combat against Caesar’s forces. The game leans into its comic roots with absurd set pieces like gladiatorial minigames and over-the-top traps, all while advancing a plot where kidnapped druids are held captive in Las Vegum. Exploration rewards you with collectibles and optional challenges, blending action with the series’ signature humor. Released in 2006 for PC and PlayStation 2, the game sticks to a single-player experience and never left European shelves. It’s a product of its era with dated visuals but retains charm through its parodies of classic games and the cartoons’ sharp satire. Community feedback highlights its quirky humor and replayability, though technical limitations show. Fans of the source material or goofy platformers might find it worth a spin, especially if you appreciate its cheeky take on ancient Rome.

Storyline

Several druids are kidnapped by the Romans and it seems that Getafix has something to do with it. Asterix & Obelix travel to Rome only to find out that Caesar has built a huge amusement park called Las Vegum in which he holds the druids captive.
