You play as one of eight destined heroes in a hand drawn world filled with ancient beasts and political schemes. Combat uses a grid based turn system where positioning and class synergies matter. Each of your party members can be molded into one of 20 roles with branching skill trees. The story follows adults making morally gray decisions while racing to stop a catastrophe. Exploration reveals hidden dungeons and character backstories through environmental storytelling. The Special Edition adds a 150 page artbook detailing the hand drawn animation process and concept art. The orchestral soundtrack features 45 tracks blending traditional instruments with electronic beats. Players who finish the main campaign can spend 20+ hours mastering post game challenges and side quests. Launched on October 7 2021 for PlayStation 4 and Switch with no multiplayer modes. The 80 hour story path includes multiple endings based on your party composition and dialogue choices.

Storyline
