You play as an astronaut stranded on a hostile alien planet after a surprise attack destroys your crew. With no weapons to speak of, you gather materials to build defensive turrets and fend off waves of robotic invaders. Early levels focus on careful planning and placement, but as enemies multiply and bosses arrive, the action shifts to frantic dodging and last-second escapes. Each level introduces new alien environments and enemy types, keeping the strategy fresh between chaotic firefights. The game splits into two modes, a story-driven campaign with set objectives and a sandbox challenge mode letting you tweak turret types, enemy difficulty, and goals. While early gameplay feels methodical, later waves blend tower defense with pure survival, creating tense back-and-forth moments. The sudden shifts from strategy to action set it apart from typical tower defense games, though the lack of combat variety might wear thin during longer sessions. At 15 hours, it's a short ride through a galaxy of exploding robots and last-stand turrets.

Storyline

Stranded alone, the Astronaut embarks on a desperate quest across unknown worlds, seeking survivors and a way to repair their damaged ship. Along their journey, they encounter relentless foes, both native to the alien landscapes and the merciless hunters of the Galactic Assault. As the Astronaut battles through wave after wave of enemies, an even darker truth begins to emerge. Whispers of a full-scale invasion of the Astronaut’s home city by the Galactic Assault loom ominously on the horizon. The fate of their civilization hangs in the balance, and the mission to return home has never been more urgent. Will the Astronaut find a way to reunite with their crew and save their home from total annihilation? The journey is fraught with danger, but the fight for survival and the hope for a safe return drive them forward.
