Astronoka drops you on a distant asteroid where your mission is to grow the universe's best space veggies. You manage your farm plant crops and enter contests to win the All-Universe Vegetable Competition. But the Baboo pests are always on the prowl so you set traps and build defenses to keep them from destroying your harvest. It's a mix of resource management and tactical pest control with a focus on growing the perfect Astro King vegetable. The game stands out for blending farming sim with strategy elements. You team up with a robot helper to upgrade tools and repel invaders. The quirky setting and simple controls make it easy to pick up though the PlayStation versions have limited multiplayer. While not a mainstream hit its offbeat charm has kept it in niche circles over the years.

Storyline

Players will settle on an asteroid in the Ten-Gallon district of the Nikka Bokka star system with the goal of becoming the best farmer in the universe by growing the ultimate space vegetable, Astro King. The asteroid is inhabited by vermin called "Baboo," which devour crops. Players work with the agricultural helper robot, Mr. Pete, to repel the Baboo raids and engage in farm work.
