Atlas Reactor is a 4v4 tactical showdown where teams trade turns in a race against the clock. Each round splits into four phases: Prep, Dash, Blast, and Move. You get 20 seconds per turn to pick an action, with moves resolving in sequence. Dash and Move happen at the same time but you can’t Move after dashing. Every decision matters as you juggle positioning, abilities, and timing to outmaneuver opponents. Combat feels tight and methodical with a focus on micro and team coordination. The simultaneous turn system stands out for its balance of strategy and urgency. While Metacritic averages 7.5/10 and Steam sits at 76% positive, players often cite the mechanical depth and fast-paced matches. The cyberpunk setting with megacorporations and immortal freelancers adds flavor but doesn’t overshadow the gameplay. Some find the learning curve steep but the competitive scene remains active. It’s a niche pick for those craving tactical PvP with a twist.
“Trust in Us,” they say. It’s not a bad deal. The Trusts create, maintain, and exploit our glorious post-human era. They control the last Reactor – resurrection, energy, light – and the whole world along with it. Work for the Trusts, and live in the last megacity on the planet. Or, become a Freelancer, and live forever. The Trusts pay top dollar to… well, stay on top. Freelancers help them do that. But every Freelancer is free to set their sights a little higher. Take down a Trust. Or create one. Some even try to save the world. Just try not to die. In this city, life is cheap. It’s resurrection that’s expensive.
