Attic is a fan-made adventure game that sends you wandering through warped, ever-shifting dreamscapes. As an unnamed explorer you collect "effects" that twist the environment in strange ways letting you manipulate gravity or turn the world upside down. The gameplay loops around curiosity and experimentation with each discovery opening new paths through abstract landscapes filled with cryptic symbols and half-formed creatures. Made by violinistsMetronome for Dream Diary Jam 6 this 2022 release exists entirely in the spirit of Yume Nikki's surreal exploration mechanics. Its web and PC accessibility makes it easy to dip into but the lack of clear objectives or story might leave some players adrift.
