Automata Break mixes first person shooting with tower defense tactics. You take aim at infected machines while placing traps and turrets to block their escape. Play alone or team up with a friend on PC. The game supports VR headsets for a different perspective. The local co op adds a layer of coordination. One player focuses on combat while the other builds defenses. The blend of action and strategy keeps each session varied. Released in 2020 it remains a tight challenge from Pumpkin Head Studio.
