Aztarac throws you into a tiny space tank fighting waves of invaders. Control both the tank's movement and its separate turret, letting you dodge left while blasting right. Your goal is to defend clustered outposts from enemy ships. If any attackers make contact, the base explodes. Stay sharp, each level ramps up the pressure as more ships swarm the screen. The second button gives you a long range scanner to spot threats before they appear. Chase those coordinates to intercept enemies mid-flight and keep the outposts intact. It’s a high-stakes balancing act between offense and defense. Still holds up over 40 years later, with a 4.3/5 average from retro gaming communities. It’s a tense, precise shooter that never lets up.
