About

You play Quick-lizard, a coppersmith in an Aztec village where the sun has failed to rise. The village is abandoned, leaving you to navigate a world lit only by a volcano's dim glow. Your task is to figure out the mystery of the missing sun and villagers through exploration and puzzle-solving. As a skilled worker, you might craft tools or use your knowledge to overcome obstacles. The game uses text-based commands typical of 1980s adventure titles, requiring careful observation and logic to progress. Strange creatures appear during your journey, some helpful, others hostile, but all enigmatic. The game stands out for its eerie atmosphere and shifting creature encounters. NPCs often hide complex intentions, forcing players to question alliances. As one of the earliest adventure games on ZX Spectrum, it's a relic of early narrative-driven design. Its cryptic storytelling and environmental puzzles offer a raw, challenging experience that feels more like decoding a myth than playing a game. Released in 1984, it captures the era's focus on imagination over graphics, making it a curiosity for retro gaming fans.

Storyline

You are Quick-lizard, a young Aztec coppersmith. You have woken from a strange dream to find that the sun has failed to rise. The only light is the dull glow from the volcano; Condor Mountain. Scared, you rush into the village to find that no one is there. Alone you must interpret your dream and begin your adventure. Where is the sun? Where are the people of the village? As your journey begins strange creatures will appear, sometimes evil and sometimes friendly, but never quite as they seem.
